WHO WE ARE
The COMETS are a STEM-oriented team of Forest Hills high schoolers and adult mentors that design, build, and compete with robots in FIRST Robotics Competition.
MORE THAN ROBOTS
Our students learn unique hard skills, such as machining and coding, backed by important soft skills, such as teamwork and time management.
We also promote our presence in the community through outreach via organizations like Family Promise, Kids' Food Basket, and Upcycle Bikes.

2025 REVEAL

2024 BATTLE CREEK WIN
COMETS won the Battle Creek District Event as 1st captain, picking 6002 ZooBOTix and 9215 T-Town Techs as our partners. We also won the Autonomous Award!
LEGO Robotics!
The COMETS take pride in inspiring the future of STEM. We partner with the Grand Rapids Public Library through our LEGO Robotics program. The event is open to all, with the end goal of coding and creating a small-scale robot.
2023 WEST MICHIGAN
WIN
The COMETS won the West Michigan District Event as 1st alliance captain alongside 27 Team RUSH and 4855 Ramageddon, also taking home the Autonomous Award!
2023 Calvin University WIN
The 2023 season began with a victory at Calvin University. Shoutout to 6081 Digital Dislocators and 2771 Code Red Robotics for being amazing teammates in the finals.
